AERIN Fragrance Collection - Ikat Jasmine

Two weeks ago I had the opportunity to attend the AERIN Fragrance Collection Event in Zurich. I was a little surprised when I found out that the presentation took place in a kitchen but I soon found out why...

Amber Musk
It was fascinating to hear about AERINs thoughts and her aim when she created the fragrance collection. It's like a walk through her memories and each of the five fragrances represents a moment of her life. Even the packaging is inspired by certain memories. The packaging of Amber Musk for example is an adaption from the wallpaper in Aerins grandmothers house.
She thinks of her perfumes as a fragrance wardrobe, so you'll be able to wear a suitable scent for every occasion.

Amber Musk is a winter scent, very warm and "cozy", Gardenia Rattan represents the spirit of Summer while Evening Rose is a luxurious evening scent. Lilac Path is inspired by common lilac and Ikat Jasmine is the scent of the modern woman.

The scents are very sophisticated and simple at the same time. They're not just a mix of different scents but you can really smell what's in there. And that's the link to the kitchen part: At the event, each perfume was presented with a cupcake which contained the perfumes main ingredients if that was somehow possible. Have a look:

Rose cupcake - Evening Rose

Lilac Path
The scents are very unique and natural and they last all day. I loved and would wear them all, but I like Ikat Jasmine best because it's light and easy to wear. By easy to wear I mean I wouldn't necessarily only wear it in one particular season or only for an evening out, it's more of an allrounder. It's not too heavy to wear on an everyday basis but still feminine.

Aerin describes the scent as casual chic and perfect for the modern and self-confident woman with intriguing femininity. The fragrance contains jasmine sambac and jasmine Egypt infusion combined with exotic tuberose, honeysuckle and sandalwood.
The packaging of this lovely floral perfume is inspired by the wallpaper Aerin had in her bedroom as a child.
I was mesmerized by the amount of thoughts Aerin put into the creation of the fragrance collection and the perfume flacons all look splendid. There's a scent for everyone, no matter how old or young you are and I'm sure this would make a perfect gift.
In Switzerland they're available exclusively at Globus for CHF 132.

Have you tried one of them yet? What are your thoughts on the "fragrance wardrobe"?

  1. What a nice presentation :-) I don't think I've ever tried an Aerin fragrance. Heard many good things about the brand though.
