The Ritual of Sakura - Celebrate Each Day as a New Beginning

Rituals "Magic Touch" line has been redesigned and looks prettier than ever. The products are now known under the name of "The Ritual of Sakura" with the motto to celebrate each day as a new beginning.  A new name, a new look but the same fragrance, which is a good thing because these products smell heavenly! It would have been a shame to chance the scent.

The Ritual of Sakura zensational foaming shower gel and magic touch body cream are both fragranced with organic rice milk and cherry blossom. It's relaxing and sweet, smelling floral and milky at the same time which makes sense considering the listed ingredients.

I've talked about Rituals' foaming shower gel here. The foaming shower gel leaves the bottle as a gel and turns into foam in your hand. The consistency of the foam is quite firm but it gets airier when distributed all over the skin. The fun thing with these foaming shower gels is that you can easily cover your whole body with thick foam. There's just a lot more of it than a normal shower gel develops.

The bottle contains 200ml of product and even though it seems as if you're using a lot more product than you normally would because there's so much foam, the bottle actually lasts for a sufficient amount of time. Combined with the luxurious experience the product delivers it's totally worth the price of CHF 12.50.

If you've been reading my blog for a while you might know there's already a full review of the Magic Touch whipped body cream. You can read it here. I'll just point out the essential things to know about the product for you in this post: It's a rich and nourishing body cream which feels slightly sticky after application but the skin absorbs it quickly and feels soft and well nourished.

The new design has a twist: It doesn't only serve the purpose of looking good but also has a practical motive. You can buy a refill, which is a great thing if you ask me. There's less waste and the refill is a little less expensive than the original pot.

In my opinion they did a good job on the design. The white packaging with light pink details looks more luxurious than before and they added a cute wooden lid.

Sadly, with the new design a new price came too. The same product now costs CHF 4 more, namely CHF 27, the refill is available for CHF 24.

What do you think of the new design?
