Lancôme Absolutely Rôse Collection

Have you seen Lancômes Absolutely Rôse collection? It's stunningly beautiful! That's why I couldn't resist treating myself to a few products from the collection. The star of the collection is the rose highlighter for sure, which is actually shaped like a rose. Even though I instantly fell in love with the look of it, I knew I wouldn't use it enough to justify spending the money on it so I chose the three beauties below:

I wanted to try the Juicy Shakers and the Cushion Blushes anyway, now the blush has an even prettier packaging so I just had to buy one, right? I went for the shade 02 Rose Limonade, a soft pink shade. You might see a theme there, even though Top Gum looks bright in the packaging I chose it because it gives my lips just a hint of colour, a very wearable light pink. Aaaand I chose another light pink coloured product: The Ombre Hypnôse Style in 20 Rose lumière. Actually, you don't have a lot of other options than light pink in this collection, either you like it or you don't. If you didn't notice so far: I love it!

If you want to see the products in action, have a look at my Valentine's Day look from last week: click here. Otherwise, you can take a look at the swatches:

Beautiful! I wanted to use the Ombre Hypnôse Stylo as a base for my eye shadow but it doesn't blend very well. However, it looks amazing as a liner! The colour is light enough to open your eyes and make them look fresh and awake. And it won't smudge or move after it sets, you actually need quite a good make-up remover to take it off. It's no issue for my oil based Caudalie cleanser but I wasn't able to take it off with my micellar water from Garnier.

The Juicy Shaker feels light and moisturizing on the lips and not sticky at all. I like to carry it around in my handbag because it's effortless to apply and makes my lips look better instantly.

To get the most natural result I like to apply cushion products with my stippling brush because it allows to blend the blush easily on my cheeks which makes it look like I had lovely soft pink cheeks naturally which I don't... since I got the blush in Rose Limonade I used it every single day and I'm pretty sure I'll check out the standard Lancôme Cushion Blushes soon.

Make sure to be quick if you want to get your hands on something from the Absolutely Rose collection, some products were already sold out when I purchased mine. I think this collection is worth the money, it doesn't only look beautiful but delivers the most gorgeous soft and glowing results.

In Switzerland the products are only available in warehouses so I purchased mine at Manor in my hometown. The Juicy Shakers are CHF 30 each, the Ombre Hypnôse Style CHF 35 and the Cushion Blushes Subtil CHF 60. In my opinion, this is one of the best collections I've seen over the last couple of years and I'll definitely use and love these products a lot.

Have a great week!

Cheryl

  1. Your pictures for this post are sooooo nice =D
But the collection being so beautiful, it'd be hard to take bad pictures :P
I'm quite tempted to get one of the shadow sticks. I have a dark blue one, and you're right it doesn't blend at all, but it stays put for so long ..! It's incredible !
    Great post =D
