Londontown Nail Polish Review

Have you ever heard of Londontown*? No, I'm not talking about that well known city in the UK, but I know that one too. Take a look at the pictures below... it's nail polish! Yaaaay!

Londontown is a brand founded by Marina Dimentman in England. The concept and formulation are inspired by the family flower garden of the founder where her great aunt used to combine flower oils to take care of her dry hands and nails. Londontown nail polishes therefore contain diverse natural oils and ingredients such as rapeseed oil, evening primrose oil, chamomile and cucumber, a combination named Florium Complex. None of the nail polishes contain bad stuff like formaldehyde or paraben, plus they're vegan and cruelty free. The interesting part is that this Florium Complex makes sure that the quality of your nails and the quality of the manicure (in terms of longevity without chipping) improve every time you use the nail polishes.

I was sent three of their products to test: two lakur nail polishes and a kur Protective Top Coat.

I've tested both nail polishes with a base coat and the kur Protective Top Coat on top. Portobello Plum is a gorgeous dark violet shade which is great for autumn and winter, Natural Charm is a greyish brown, suitable for every occasion. The finish is glossy, even and lovely and application is very easy. What I noticed is that these nail polishes dry quickly on the nails which is a huge plus for me because I'm just not the most patient person you'll ever meet.

The manicure lasted about four days till it was chipped and I had to remove it which is about as long as I want my nail polish to last. After four to five days I'm usually bored with the colour anyway. The quality and concept as well as the product design get a thumbs up from me!

I can't tell you about the long term effect of the products yet, as I'm usually testing several different nail polishes. Testing long term effects with nail polishes would mean to use them exclusively for quite a while, which is not easy as a blogger. However, I'm happy with the product and the concept is convincing, if there's any updates, I'll let you know.

In Switzerland, Londontown is available in health shops and the nail polishes cost around CHF 20.

By the way, I've been playing around with a new photo editing software. Any opinions on the style of the pictures?

If you've tried Londontown already, please feel free to share your thoughts in the comment section below.

Have a lovely day!

xx Cheryl
